Can you easily get books in?
Yes!

Zeneca has a servicable goodreads import function. It imported 635 of my 639 Goodreads items. The success email included clear details about the books which failed to import.
Can you easily get books out?
Sadly, no. As of this writing, there is no export function. Zenica's is a "very rough beta", so this will likely change.
Can you organize your books?
Kind of. You can create bookshelves, and put books on them.

You also get two default bookshelves (To-Read and Read), which you can rename

Unfortunately, you can't search within your books. There's what looks like a search box above to-read and read. But it doesn't search them.

The two-column cover view looks nice on a big screen. But the lack of search and filtering are unfortunate.

Does it tell you when your friends add a book, or finish one?
Unknown. Zeneca does have the concept of subscribing to others' timelines.
Is there a phone app?
Not exactly. There are nice instructions to add the site to a phone's home screen.

Zeneca General impressions
Zeneca is another promising new book-tracking app.
